Mouthwatering Miyazaki Beef

If you like beef, then the restaurants of Kobayashi will know how to delight your taste buds. Indeed, Miyazaki prefecture is very famous for the quality of its Wagyu meat as Miyazaki Beef won the best-taste prize at the 2017 Wagyu Olympics. It would be just unforgivable to miss the opportunity to taste such delicious meat.

We recommend two restaurants in Kobayashi:

Gyushin is a Yakiniku restaurant, which means you will be served raw meat and you will have to cook it yourself on the grill plate in the middle of the table. The menu contains various types of meat (pork, meat, chicken) and you can choose which kind of meat you would like or pick a course menu and let the chef take care of it.

Once the meal is almost over, and if you still have some space in your stomach, we strongly advise you to order the sushi beef. You won’t regret it, that’s for sure.

There are 2 Gyushin Restaurants in Kobayashi:

Tsutsumi restaurant: – 宮崎県小林市堤3116-1 ⇒ Miyazaki-ken, Kobayashi-shi, Tsutsumi 3116-1    /    Phone Number: 0984-23-5055

Nakamachi restaurant: – 宮崎健小林市仲町28-6 ⇒ Miyazaki-ken, Kobayashi-shi, Nakamachi 28-6   /    Phone Number: 0984-22-2151

Nakanishi is also a Yakiniku restaurant where you can try Miyazaki beef, but also many more meals such as the local specialty called chicken nanban or the classic but delicious “hamba-gu” (see the picture below).

You can also taste Miyazaki Beef in different recipes such as Sukiyaki (thin slices of beef cooked with vegetable broth and sauce and then dipped in raw egg) and Shabu-Shabu (thin slices of beef boiled in a vegetable broth).
